Dallas, TX (April 6, 2021) –– Cowles & Thompson, P.C. is pleased to welcome Senior Counsel Lené Alley DeRudder. Lené joins the Family Law and Corporate/Business Law practice groups and will concentrate on complex divorce and collaborative divorce.
Lené Alley DeRudder is a collaboratively trained divorce attorney with strong litigation skills who focuses on highly complex divorces, specifically those that involve high net-worth marital estates or intricate property issues, especially related to business entities or contentious family law matters. Adept at the human complexities of family law, Lené assists people in successfully navigating one of the most difficult times of their lives while also striving to minimize the emotional, mental, and financial drains that are inherent in family law matters. Her experience and strategic approach have led to her appearances on broadcast television and radio stations nationwide as a featured guest on family law-related topics including the impact of COVID-19 on divorce. A graduate of the Texas A&M School of Law who received the distinguished MacLean & Boulware award for her professionalism and work ethic during law school, Lené has been named to the list of Super Lawyers® Rising Stars consecutively from 2014 to 2020.
Lené is the Past President of the Collin County Bar Association, member of the Dallas Bar Association, the Texas Family Law Foundation, Collin County Women Lawyers Association, and the Annette Stewart American Inn of Court. She volunteers with Legal Aid of Northwest Texas and serves as the President Elect of the Golden Corridor Republican Women. Lené primarily practices in Collin, Dallas, and Denton counties. A resident of Collin County for 18 years, Lené resides in Allen, Texas with her husband and their three children.
