Dallas, TX (April 14, 2023) — Cowles Thompson Associate Attorney, Hunter Ralston, will be among the attorneys participating in the 2023 Mock Voir Dire event hosted by the Dallas Bar Association. The program is aimed to acquaint North Texas high school students with the civil trial process and the roles of judges, lawyers, and juries in the justice system. The program runs 10:00AM-Noon, Friday, April 14, 2023. The event is free and open to all North Texas schools.
Voir Dire is the process of selecting a jury through interactive questions and conversation with prospective jurors. Hunter participated in a “Top Gun” competition as a 3L law student at the SMU Dedman School of Law, where he was selected “SMU Top Gun Voir Dire Champion” in 2022. He was a judicial intern for the Hon. Martin Hoffman, 68th Judicial District Court, who is a mentor of the DBA Mock Voir Dire program. Hunter is also an active member of the Dallas Young Lawyers Association where he serves on the Trial Skills Planning Committee.
