Every year, Mike Northrup (head of the Cowles Thompson Appellate practice) provides statistical analysis of the activities of the Supreme Court of Texas during the prior calendar year.
For example: Mike observed that during the 2023 calendar year, the Court disposed of 100 causes — consisting of 86 causes taken on petition for review, 11 original mandamus proceedings, and 3 certified questions. (100 causes is slightly higher than the average.)
