Jack Beesley is Of Counsel in the Cowles Thompson Family Law and Commercial/Business Litigation practice areas. His Family Law experience includes divorce, custody, child support, enforcement of custody and support actions, SAPCR (Suit Affecting the Parent- Child Relationship), name changes, father’s rights, and termination of rights. His Commercial/Business Litigation experience includes contract disputes, premises liability issues, and landlord/tenant litigation. He has served as first-chair litigation attorney for cases in Dallas, Denton, Collin, and Tarrant counties, and has represented clients statewide, including Kaufman, Harris, and Montgomery counties.
Representative Matters
- Obtained a 50/50 possession and access order for a father previously denied access to his daughter in a Dallas County SAPCR.
- Successfully negotiated a high value separate property claim for a client in a Denton County Divorce mediation.
- Obtained an order denying a Common Law Marriage for a client fighting an ex-girlfriend over residential property interests in Tarrant County.
- First chair trial experience in Divorce cases in Dallas and Collin Counties.
- First chair jury trial experience in Commercial Trucking cases and Premises Liability cases in Oklahoma.
